EPIGRAPHIA INDICA 816.─ Ep. Ind. Vol. VII. p. 172, No. 68. Date of a Tirumâṇikuḷi (Vâmanapurîśvara temple) Tamil inscription of the 7th year (of the reign) of the Tribhuvanachakravartin, the glorious Virarâjêndra-Chôḷadêva (i.e. the Chôḷa king Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷa III.) :─ ‘ In the seventh year . . . on the day of Śatabhishaj, which was the fourteenth tithi of the first fortnight and a Wednesday, which was the twenty-sixth solar day of the month of Siṁha.’ [Ś. 1106] : Wednesday, 22nd August A.D. 1184. 817.─ Ep. Date of a Tiruveṇgâḍu (Śvêtâraṇyêśvara temple) Tamil inscription of the 8th year (of the reign) of king Parakêsarivarman alias the Tribhuvanachakravartin, the glorious Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷadêva [III.] :─ ‘ In the eighth year . . . on the day of Anurâdhâ, which corresponded to a Monday and to the tenth tithi of the first fortnight of the month of Karkaṭaka.’ [Ś. 1107] : Monday, 8th July A.D. 1185.[1] 818.─ South-Ind. Tiruvallam (Bilvanâthêśvara temple) Tamil inscription of the 8th[2] year (of the reign) of Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷadêva [III.], dated ‘ from the month of Mâśi ; ’ recording a grant by Miṇḍan Attimallan Śambuvarâyan of the Śeṅgêṇi family. 819.─ South-Ind. Notice of a Viriñchipuram Tamil inscription of the 10th (?) year (of the reign) of the Tribhuvanachakravartin, Kônêrimênkoṇḍa[3] Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷadêva (i.e. the Chôḷa king Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷa III.),[4] recording a grant by the Śeṅgêṇi chief mentioned in No. 820.

Tiruvallam (Bilvanâthêśvara temple) Tamil inscription of the 11th year (of the reign) of the Tribhuvanachakravartin, the glorious Kônêrimêlkoṇḍa[5] Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷadêva (i.e. the Chôḷa king Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷa III.), recording a grant by the Śeṅgêṇi chief Ammaiappan Kaṇṇuḍaipperumânalias Vikrama-Śôla-Śambuvarâyan. 821.─ South-Ind. Maṇimaṅgalam (Râjagôpâla-Perumâḷ temple) Tamil inscription of the 12th year (of the reign) of the Tribhuvanachakravartin, the glorious Kulôttuṅga-Chôḷadêva [III.], who was pleased to take Madurai, Ȋlam, and the crowned head of the Pâṇḍya :[6]─ ‘ In the 12th year . . . on the day of Chitrâ, which corresponded to a Monday and to the ninth tithi of the second fortnight of the month of Dhanus.’ [Ś. 1111] : Monday, 4th December A.D. 1189 ; but the tithi of the date ended 0 h. 51 m. before mean sunrise of this day ; see Ep.
