EPIGRAPHIA INDICA 296.─ PSOCI. No. 191 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 67, p. 138. Baḷagâṁve Kanarese memorial tablet of the reign of the Kaḷachurya Chakravartin Âhavamalla, and of his Daṇḍanâyaka Kêśimayya :─ (L. 1).─ Âhavamalladêva-varshada Sâ(śâ)rvvari-saṁvatsarada Phâlguṇa(na)d=amâvâse Sômavârad=aṁdu. [Śârvari = Ś. 1102] : Monday, 16th March A.D. 1181.[1] 297.─ PSOCI. No. 192 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 55, p. 115. Baḷagâṁve Kanarese inscription of the third year (of the reign) of the Kaḷachurya Bhujabala-chakravartin Âhavamalla, and of his Daṇḍanâyaka Kêśimayya (Kṛishṇa-Kêśava) :[2]─ (L. 69).─ Âhavamalladêva-varshada 3neya Plava-saṁvatsarada Śrâvaṇa-bahuḷa 12 (or 13 ?) [Âdi ?]vâra[3] saṁkramaṇa-vyatîpâtad=aṁdu.
[Plava = Ś. 1103] : Sunday, 9th August A.D. 1181 ; the 12th tithi ended and the 13th
commenced 9 m. after mean sunrise ; but there was no Saṁkrânti on this day.
298.─ Ś. 1103 and Ś. 1110*.─ PSOCI. No. 230. Haraḷhaḷḷi[4] Kanarese inscription of the
reign of the Kaḷachurya Âhavamalla, and of his feudatory, the Gutta Mahâmaṇḍalêśvara
Jôyidêva (Jôma) I., the son of Vîra-Vikramâditya I. who was the son of Mallidêva :[5] ─
‘ Śaka 1103 (in words, l. 83), the Plava saṁvatsara ; at the time of the sun’s commencing
his progress to the north.’
The inscription, besides, contains the following date,[6] connected with the Gutta
Mahâmaṇḍalêśvara Vîra-Vikramâditya II., the son of Gutta II. who was the brother of
Jôyidêva I. :─
‘ Śaka 1110 (in figures, l. 103), the Plavaṅga saṁvatsara ; Thursday, the thirteenth day
of the bright fortnight of Phâlguna.’
This date is irregular.
299.─ PSOCI. No. 193 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 94, p. 184. Baḷagâṁve Kanarese memorial
tablet of the 8th year of the reign of the Kaḷachurya Âhavamalla :─
‘ The eight year (in figures, l. 3) of his reign, the Śôbhakṛit saṁvatsara ; Monday, the fifth day of the (?) bright fortnight of Phâlguna ;’ (Mys. Inscr. ‘ the month Bhâdrapada, the 13th
day of the moon’s decrease ’).[7]
[For Śôbhakṛit = Ś. 1105] the date is irregular, with either reading.

Śôbhakṛit-saṁvatsarê Âsva(śva)yukt-âmâvâsyâṁ Sômavârê Vyatîpâta-yôgê.
The date is irregular ; see ibid. Vol. XXIV. p. 15, No. 189.
