444.-Ś. 1190.─PSOCI. No. 124 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 27, p. 48. Harihar Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription of the (?) Hoysaḷa Narasiṁha III., and of his Daṇḍanâyaka Sôma :─ Mys. Inscr. :‘ The Saka year 1190 having passed, and the year Vibhava being current.’

445.-Ep. Ind. Vol. III. p. 10. Date of a Śrîraṅgam (Raṅganâtha temple) Tamil inscription of the 15th year (of the reign) of the Hoysaḷa Vîra-Râmanâtha :-

‘ The day of Asvinî, which corresponded to Monday, the first tithi of the first half of the month of Mîna,’

[S. 1191] : Monday, 24th March A.D.1270.

446.-S. 1191 (for 1195 ?).─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 96, p. 74. Kanarese inscription of the time of the Hoysaḷa Pratâpa-chakravartin Vîra-Nârasiṁha (Narasiṁha III.), reigning at Dôrasamudra :-

Saka-varusha 1191neya Śrîmukha-saṁvatsarada Śrâvaṇa-śuddha 15 Ȃdivâradallu.

Srîmukha would be S. 1195, and in that year the tithi of the date commenced 6 h. 14 m. after mean sunrise of Sunday, 30th July A.D. 1273.

The inscription records a grant to Chandraprabhadêva, the disciple of the Mahâmaṇḍalâchârya Nayakîrtidêva.

447.-S. 1192* [and Ś. 1198].─Ep. Carn, Vol. III. p. 166, No. 97 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 172, No. 323. Sômanâthapura Sanskrit and Kanarese inscription of the Hoysaḷa Mahârâjâdhirâja Pratâpa-chakravartin Vîra-Nârasiṁha ( Narasiṁha III.), ‘ lord of Dvârâvatî,’ residing at Dôrasamudra ; and of this minister, the Daṇḍanâyaka Sôma,[1] and Sôma’s sister’s sons, the Daṇḍanâyakas Mallidêva and Chikka-Kêtaya :-

Saka-varsha sâsirada-nûra-tombhatt-eraḍaneya Śukla-saṁvatsarada Ȃshâḍha-śuddha-dvâdasi(śî) Budhavârad=andu.

Wednesday, 12th June A.D. 1269 ;[2] see Ind. Ant. Vol. XXIV. p. 3, No. 132.

The inscription contains another date-

Dhâtu-saṁvatsarada Ȃśvîja-śuddha-tadige Ȃdivârad=andu.

This date, for Dhâtṛi = Ś. 1198, is irregular.

448.─Ep. Ind Vol. III. p. 10. Date of a Śrîraṅgam (Raṅganâtha temple) Tamil inscription of the 15th year (of the reign) of the Poysaḷa (Hoysaḷa) Vîra-Râmanâtha :─

‘ The day of Bharaṇî, which corresponded to Sunday, the eleventh tithi of the second half
of the month of Mithuna.’

[Ś. 1192] : Sunday, 15th June A.D. 1270.

449.─Ep. Ind. Vol. III. p. 10. Date of a Kaṇṇanûr (Poysaḷêśvara temple) Tamil inscription of the 17th year (of the reign) of the Poysaḷa (Hoysaḷa) Vîra=Râmanâtha :─

‘ Tuesday, the thirteen tithi of the bright half of Śrâvaṇa in the Prajâpati year, which corresponded to the twenty-fourth solar day of the month of Ȃḍi.’

[Prajâpati = Ś. 1193] : Tuesday, 21st July A.D. 1271.

450.─Ś. 1200.─PSOCI. No. 20 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 148, p. 275. Bêlûr Sanskṛit and Kanarese plates of the Hoysaḷa Niśśaṅka-pratâpa-chakravartin Narasiṁha III., ‘ lord of Dvârâvatî,’ residing at Dôrasamudra :─

(L. 41).─Śaka-varshasya dviśatôttara-sahasratamasya Bahudhânya-saṁvatsarasya Mâgha-kṛishṇa-chaturdaśyâṁ Maṁdavârê.

Saturday, 11th February A.D. 1279.
