EPIGRAPHIA INDICA 56 m., while the nakshatra by the equal space system was Satabhishaj for 4 h. 36 m., after mean sunrise. 76.- In the Tirumâlîsvara temple at Mâgaral.[1]

T[i]r[i]buvanachchak[ka]ravatt[i]ga[ḷ] śrî-Râśarâśadêvarku yâṇ[ḍu] “ In the 5th year (of the reign) of the emperor of the three worlds, the glorious Râjarâjadêva,─ on the day of Aśvinî, which corresponded to a Wednesday and to the fifth tithi of the second fortnight of the month of Siṁha.” The date correspond to Wednesday, the 19th August A.D. 1220, which was the 24th day of the month of Siṁha, and on which the 5th tithi of the dark half (of Bhâdrapada) commenced 10 h. 38 m., while the nakshatra was Aśvinî for 18 h. 24 m., after mean sunrise.─ As the 5th tithi commenced very late in the day, I consider it probable that it has been quoted erroneously instead of the 4th. 77.─ In the Ikshupurîśvara temple at Kôvilveṇṇi.[2]
“ In the year which was opposite the 6th year (of the reign) of the emperor of the three worlds, th glorious Râjarâjadêva,─ on the day of Uttarâshâḍhâ, which corresponded to a Thursday and to the seventh tithi of the first fortnight of the month of Tulâ.” The date corresponded to Thursday, the 13th Octomber A.D. 1222, which was the 16th day of the month of Tulâ, and on which the 7th tithi of the bright half (of Kârttika) ended 11 h. 33 m., while the nakshatra was Uttarâshâḍhâ, by the equal space system and according to Garga for 13 h. 8 m., and by the Brahma-siddhânta for 6 h. 34 m., after mean sunrise. 78.─ In the Âdiyappan temple at Kîl-Kâśâkuḍi.[3] 1 . . . . . . . Râjarâjadêvarku yâṇḍu pattâvadu Mêsha-nâyarru apara-pakshattu ashṭamiyum Śevvây-kkilamaityum perra Aviṭṭattu nâḷ. “ In the tenth year (of the reign) of . . . . . Râjarâjadêva,─ on the day of Śravishṭhâ, which corresponded to a Tuesday and to the eighth tithi of the second fortnight of the month of Mêsha.” The date corresponds of Tuesday, the 21st April A.D. 1226, which was the 28th day of the month of Mêsha, and on which the 8th tithi of the dark half (of Vaiśâkha) ended 10 h. 16 m., while the nakshatra was Śravishṭhâ, by the equal space system and according to Garga for 19 h. 3 m., and by the Brahma-siddhânta for 19 h. 42 m., after mean sunrise.
