_______________________
[1] See Vol. VI. p. 22.
In the original date the second tithi (dvitigaiyum) is wrongly quoted instead of the third (tṛitîyaiyum).
[3] In the original date the 13th tithi has probably been wrongly quoted instead of the third. Assuming the above to be the true equivalent of the date, Râjâdhirâja’s reign would have commenced after (approximately) the 23rd May A.D. 1018.
[4] In No. 37 surnamed Râjakêsarivarman.
[5] If the dates 5 and 6 given by Dr. Hultzsch above, Vol. VI. p. 221, from No. 389 and No. 386 of 1893 can be trusted ─ and I see no reason to suspect them─ the king’s reign must have commenced on approximately the 9th June A.D. 1070. The first day of his 37th year would have been the 9th June A.D. 1106, and 289th day of that year the 24th March A.D. 1107, which was the day of the Mêsha-(Vishuva-)saṁkrânti and Chaitra-vadi 13 of Saka 1029 expired.
[6] In the original date the month Mâgha is wrongly quoted instead of Phâlguna.
