This inscription records that a certain Tittai Vilumiyan alias Pillai Adiyar caused this stone-temple of the god Chandesvaradevar to be built.  It also records that the same man was bowing at the feet of the deity.  It also states that this god Chandesvaradevar was worshiping the god Tirun alamudaiyar.  The two above-mentioned statements are perhaps each a label for a carving representing the respective scene on the stone-wall of the temple.
