SURĀLA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the Śaṁkaranārāyaṇa temple in the hamlet of Śāstān

Harihara II, 1383 A.D.

This record registers a gift of money-income of some villages (named), by Mahāpradhāna Jakkaṇṇa-oḍeya the governer of Bārakūru- rājya. to Śiva-Niḍuṁbura as the latter’s father died in course of his official duties. The gift was made at the instance of the king as also Muddeya-daṇāyaka in the presence of Malle-oḍeya of Honnāvara.

It is dated Śaka 1305, Rudhirōdgāri, Jyēshṭha śu. 8, Sunday corresponding to 1383 A.D., May 10.

1 ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ

2 ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ [||*] ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ

3 ಶಕವರುಶ 1305 ರುಧಿರೋದ್ಗಾರಿ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಟ ಸು 8 ಆ
