TRANSLATION
(I) Thus saith king Priyadarśin, Beloved of the Gods.
(II) People perform various (kinds of) auspicious ceremony on the occasions of illness, the
weddings of sons, the weddings of daughters, (and) the birth of children.

in the rock. ”

the stone.” He reads va.
