^[1] This epithet is repeated unnecessarily, as we have already had it in l. 23-24.
^[2] The letters are omitted in the text, but supplied at the foot of the plate ; this omission has been indicated by a cross after .
^[3] First was engraved, and then it was corrected into by erasure.
^[4] Here and in the following the rules of saṁdhi have not been observed.
^[5] I am not certain of the reading of the text from in the next line.
^[6] After two letters had originally been engraved, but were afterwards erased. For these the letters (Sanskrit) are to be substituted as is indicated by the cross.
