972.─ Ś. 1130 (for 1131).─Ep. Ind. Vol. III. p. 316. Sironcha (on the Gôdâvarî, now Nâgpur Museum) Telugu inscription of Sômêśvara (Jagadêkabhȗshaṇa-Mahârâja alias Sômêśvaradêva-Chakravartin) of the Nâga vaṁśa, ‘ lord of Bhôgâvatî ;’[1] recording a grant by his chiefs queen Gaṅgamahâdêvî :─

(L. 26).─ Śakanri(nṛi)pakâl-âtîta-saṁvatsaramulu 1130agunêṁṭi Phâlguṇa(na)-śu-[kra(kla)[-dvâdaśini Âdityavâramu nâṁḍu.

973.─ Ś. 1156.─Cave-Temples of West. India, p. 99. Ellôrâ Jaina image inscription :─

975.─ Ś. 1197*.─PSOCI. No. 236 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 120, p. 219. Haḷêbîḍ Kanarese memorial tablet of a disciple of (?) Mâghanandi-bhaṭṭârakadêva :─

‘ Śaka 1197 (in figures, l. 8), the Bhâva saṁvatsara ; Wednesday, the twelfth day of the bright fortnight of Bhâdrapada.’

976.─ Ś. 1200.─ Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 137, second part, p. 105 Kanarese inscription recording donations by Munichandradêva, disciple of the Mahâmaṇḍalâchârya Udaya-chandradêva, and by others :─

Śâlivâhana-Śaka-varshaṁ 1200neya Bahudhânya-saṁvatsarada Chaitra-śuddha 1 Śukravâra.

977.─ Ś. 1201.─ Ind. Ant. Vol. XII. p. 101. Kaḍakoḷ Kanarese memorial tablet of a female disciple of (?) Paḍumasina-bhaṭṭârakadêva :─

(L. 1).─ Sa(śa)ka-varuśa(sha) 1201 Pramâthi-saṁvatsarada Bhâdrapada-su(śu)ddha-chhaṭ[ṭ]i Sômavârad=aṁdu.

978.─ Ś. 1203 (for 1201) ? and [Ś. 1210].─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 131, p. 99. Kanarese inscription recording grants by private persons :─

Śrîmatu-Śaka-varsha 1203neya Pramâdi-saṁvatsara Mârggaśira-su 10 Bri(bṛi)d=andu.

Pramâdin would be Ś. 1235 expired. Perhaps the intended year is Ś. 1201 expired= Pramâthin, but for that year the date is irregular.

Below the above is another Kanarese inscription recording a private grant, dated :─ Sarvadhâri-saṁvatsarada dvitîya-Bhâdrapada-su 5 Bri.

This date, for Sarvadhârin=Ś. 1210, in which Bhâdrapada was intercalary, corresponds to Thursday, 2nd September A.D. 1288.

[2] On this day the tithi of the date commenced 2 h. 42 m. after mean sunrise.
[3] This was the day of the Mêsha-saṁkrânti.
[4] On this day the tithi of the date commenced 4 h. 19 m. after mean sunrise.
