EPIGRAPHIA INDICA

391.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 63, p. 59. Inscription recording the foundation of a temple by Lakshmî, the wife of Gaṅga[râja].

392.─Ś. 1043*.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No 44, p. 19 Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription recording the date of the death of Pôchikabbe (Pôchâmbike, Pôchaladȇvî), andthe erection of a tomb in her memory by her son Gaṅgarâja :─

Sa(śa)ka-varsha 1043neya Sâ(śâ)rvvari-saṁvatsarada Âshâḍha-su(śu)ddha 5 Sômavârad= andu.

The date is irregular. 393.─Ś. 1044*.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 48, p 26. Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription recording the of the death of the Daṇḍanâyakiti Lakkavve (Lakshmyambike), the wife of Gaṅgarâja and lay-disciple of Śubhachandra-siddhântadȇva ; and the erection of a monument in her memory by her husband :─

395.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 65, p. 60. Inscription recording the erection, by Gaṅga[râja], the son Budhamitra[2] and Pôchâmbikâ, of a shrine (for his wife Lakshmî ?).

396 –Ś. 1045.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No 53, p 36. Sanskṛit[3] and Kanarese. inscription. Date grants made by Śântaladȇvî, the chief queen of the Hoysaḷa Mahâmaṇḍalêśvara Vishṇuvardhana (Biṭṭidêva),[4] ‘ lord of Dvârâvatî :’─

(P. 41).─Sa(śa)ka-varusha sâyirada-nâlvatt-ayde(yda)neya Śôbhakṛit-saṁvatsarada Chaitra-su(śu)ddha-pâḍiva Bṛihaspativârad=andu.

The date is irregular.

397.─Ś. 1045.─ Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 56, p. 50. Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription, recording the same grants of Śântaladȇvî, with the same date as in No. 396.

398.─Ś. 1045.─ Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No .43, p. 16. Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription recording the date of the death of Śubhachandra-siddhântadȇva, the chief disciple of Maladhâridȇva ; and the erection of a tomb in his memory by his lay-disciple Gaṅgarâja :─ Bâṇ-âmbhôdhi-nabhaś-śaśâṅka-tuḷitȇ jâtȇ Śak-âbdȇ tatô varshȇ Śôbhakṛit(d)-âhvayȇ vyupanatê mâsȇ punaś=Śrâvaṇȇ | pakshȇ kṛishṇa-vipaksha-varttini Sitȇ vârȇ daśamyâṁ tithau. Friday, 3rd August A.D. 1123 ; see Ind. Ant. Vol. XXIII. p. 166, No. 20.

399.─Inscr. at Śravaṇa-Beḷgoḷa, No. 62, p. 59. Inscription recording the foundation of a temple by Śântaladȇvî, the chief queen of the Hoysaḷa Vishṇu (Vishṇuvardhana).
