TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

(A. R. No. 359 of 1930-31)

KANYANA, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 3) set up in Gubbukōṇe Gōpālakṛishṇa temple

Harihara II, 1398 A.D.

This is dated Śaka 1320, Īsvara, Phālguṇa ba. 10, Thursday corresponding to 1398 A.D., March 13. The weekday however, was Wednesday.

It registers a sale deed of land made under certain conditions to Liṅgarasa by the six jananis, fifty of Jagattu and others Rājāḍi Kanyāna.

TEXT

1 ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಸ್ತು[೦]ಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯನಗರಾರಂಭ
..........ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂ –

2 ಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶಕವರುಶ 1320 ನೆಯ ಯಿಸ್ವವರ
..........ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಫಲ್ಗು[ಣ]

3 ಬ 10ಗು ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜ ರಾಜಪರಮೇಸ್ವರಂ ಶ್ರೀವೀರಹರಿಹರಮಹಾರಾಯರು
..........ರಾಜ್ಯೆ[ದ್ಭುದ] –

4 ಯಂಗೆಯಿವ ಕಾಲದೊಳು ರಾಜಾಡಿಯ ಕಂನ್ಯಾನದ ನಾವ್ನಾಱ ಆಱು[ವ]ಱ
..........ಜನನಿಗಳು ಆಯಿವತುಜಗತ್ತು .

5 [ಹ]ಏಕ[ತ್ರ]ಯವಾಗಿ [ಮುಗಿ]ತಳಿಯ ಪಡು . ರಸರ . . . . . . . ಗೋತ್ರದ
..........ಲಿಂಗರಸರಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಯ –

6 . . ದಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಶಿಲಾಶಾಸನದಕ್ರಮವೆಂತೆಂದರೆ ಆ ಲಿಂಗರಸರಿಗೆ ನಂಮ
..........ನಾಲ್ಕುಊರು ಏಕತ್ರಯವಾ –

7 ಗಿ ನಂಮರಾಜ್ಯಡಿಯರಳಿಯ ಭೂಮಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮುಖದಲು ತಿರಿಪಡಿಸಿ
..........ಕೊಟ್ಟುದು ಮೂ –

8 . ಆ ಚತುಸ್ಸೀಮೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತಱಲೆಕ್ಕದಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತುಮೂಡೆಯ ಗದ್ದೆಯನು
..........ಕ್ರಯಧಾರಾಪೊ –

9 ರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಉರು ಏಕತ್ರಯವಾಗಿ ಆಚಂದ್ರಾರ್ಕಸ್ಥಾಯಿಯೂಗಿ ಸರ್ವಮಾಂನ್ಯವಾಗಿ
..........ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದಾ –

10 ನ ಆ ಬಾಳಿಗೆ ತೆ . . ವಾಸುದೇವರಿಗೆ . ಟ್ಟಿ . ೦ಡಕಟ್ಟುಂದೆಱು ವರುಶಂ ಪ್ರತಿ

11 ಹೊಂನ ತೆತ್ತು ಬಹರು ಅ[ವಂನ್ಯಾ]ಯ ಅನಾಯಬಡ್ಡಿಸೆ [ಸೆ]ಬಿಡಾರಮಳ[ಪು]ಯ

12 ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ದಂಣಾಯಕರ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ಆೞಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ . ಉ ನಾಉ
