TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

Peḍakal-800, Naravāḍi-500 and Ayaje-300 divisions from Mosaḷeya- maḍuvu. It seems to register certain gifts of income to an ascetic (name lost) who was a disciple of sthānādhipati Kalyāṇa-śakti-paṇḍita, by Lōkamāṇikya-seṭṭi who was a subordinate of Irugaṇa-chōḷa.

The record is dated Śaka [983] Palva, [Jyē]sṭha-amāvāsya, Wednesday, solar eclipse corresponding to 1061 A.D., June 20. On this date Chāḷukya Sōmēśvara I was ruling over the area. The record is, therefore, assigned to this king.
