TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

Tribhuvanamalla-bhaṭṭāra of the Chālukya family, obviously, Vikramāditya VI. The record also refers to the application of lime mortar to the shrine of Sēnapati ie., Vishvaksēna, probably by the same donor.

It is dated the 29th year of Kulōttuṅga-mahādēva (i.e. Kulottuṅga Chōḷa I) corresponding to 1098-90 A.D.

This record is published in Ep. Ind., Vol. XXXVI, pp. 253 ff.

SIDDHĒŚVARAM, NANDIKOTKUR TALUK, KURNOOL DISTRICT

Pillar built into the platform of the Āsarkhānā

[Sōmēśvara I], 1061 A.D.

This damaged record, the beginning of which is lost, refers to mahāmaṇḍlēśvara Irugaṇa-Chōḷa-mahārāja as governing Kanne-300,

1 The beginning of all the lines are lost. Since there is unengraved space after the end of each line, it appears that the original stone was broken and the fragments were built into the wall.
2 This may be a mistake for ತಿರುಮಾಲಿರುಂಜೋಲೈ.
