TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

(A. R. No. 607 of 1929-30)

GUṆḌIMI, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in a field near the river in the village

Dēvarāya II, 1431 A.D.

This damaged record is dated Śaka 1354, Virōdhikṛit, Bhādrapada ba. 1, Friday, corresponding to 1431 A.D., August 24. The Śaka year was current.

It registers a gift of land, the details of which cannot be made out. It states that Chandarasa-oḍeya who governing Bārakūru-rājya and refers to a locality called Chōḷiya-kēri and to Śaṅkaradēva-oḍeya.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶಕವರುಷ 1254 ನೆಯ ವಿರೋಧಿ[ಕೃತಾ]

2 ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಭಾದ್ರಪದ ಬ 1 ಶು ಲು ಶ್ರೀವೀರಪ್ರತಾಪ ದೇವರಾಯ ಮ –

3 ಹಾರಾಯರು ಸಕಳಸಾಂಬ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಕಾಲದಲು ಚಂ -

4 ದರಸನ ಒಡೆಯರು ಬಾರಕೂರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನಾಳುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೋಳಿಯ
