Slab set up in survey No. 400 near the ruined Bhairavēśvarasvāmin
temple
Bhuvanaikamalla, 1075 A.D. (Sōmēśvara II)
This record is dated Śaka 997, Rākshasa. Chaitra-puṇṇame,
Friday, lunar eclipse corresponding regularly to 1075 A.D., April 3.
The inscription states that while the king was camping at
Baṅkāpura, his subordinate mahāmaṇḍalēśvara Satyarasa of the
Jīmūtávāhana lineage, bearing the title Tagarapuravarēśvara and having
for his banner the crest of the golden eagle, got the temple of
Bikkēśvara built in the name of his faṭher Bikkeyarasa, and granted
the income from taxes muyipu-kāṇike and Koluṅgele arising out of his
manneya to the same temple for worship, offerings and burning a
lamp and for feeding ascetics in the charity-house attached to it. The
gift was made after laving the feet of Sadyōjāta-paṇḍita of Eḍeya-maṭha.
