BRAHMĀVARA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

..............Slab lying near the well in the prākāra of Mahāriṅgeśvara temple

Baṅkidēva, 1286 A.D.

This damaged record seems to register a gift of land on the occasion of a solar eclipse, to god Gōpināthadēva.

It is dated Śaka 1[20]9, Vyaya, Mārgaśira śu. 10, Vaḍḍavāra. The details correspond to 1286 A.D., November 26, Tuesday, f.d.t. 30.
