GOLLAPALLE, JAMMALAMADUGU TALUK, CUDDAPAH DISTRICT

Taila III

The record refers itself to the reign of Nūrmaḍi Taila, who is also called Vishṇuvardhana, ruling from Kalyāṇa. Much of the writing is damaged and the date is lost. But as the record can be palaeographically assigned only to the 12th century the king referred to might be Taila III, though the language of the inscription appears to question its genuineness.

It registers gifts of lands, and a flower-garden for the worship and offerings to a deity (name lost). The gift was entrusted to Nāgarāśi-paṇḍita.

1 ಸ್ವ[ಸ್ತಿ*] ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭುವನಾಶ್ರಯಂ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಿ[ಥ್ವೀ ವಲ್ಲ]ಭಂ ಮಹಾರಾ –

2 ಜಾಧಿರಾಜ ಪರಮೇಸ್ವರ . . . . ವಿಷ್ಣವರ್ದ್ದನ

3 ಮೆನಸಿನ ನೂ[ರ್ಮ್ಮ]ಡಿ ತೈಲಪದೇವನ ರಾಜ್ಯ[ಮೊ] –

4 ಪ್ಪಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ . . [ಬು] . ನ . . [ರ]ದಲು ರಾ –
