PADU-ALEVUR, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the prākāra of Durgā-Paramēśvarī temple

Circa 10th century

This record seems to register a gift of land for a perpetual lamp in the temple of a goddess (name not clear), by Obaliabbe of Kokkaraṇi, in the kingdom of Sāntaradēva.

It is dated the cyclic year Virōdhikṛit, Dhanus, Jupiter in Kuṁbha.

TEXT

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ [|*] ಕುಂಭದಲು ಬ್ರಿಹಪ್ಸ –

2 ತಿ¹ ಯಿಱ್ದಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಕ್ರತು ಸಂಬ-

3 ತ್ಸರದ ಧನುರ್ಮಾಸದಲು ಶ್ರೀಮತು

4 ಸಾಂನ್ತರ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲು ದೇವಿ-

5 ಅಂ . ದೆಯಧೇವಿಗೆ ಕೊಕ್ಕರಣ ಒ-

6 ಬಲಿ ಅಬ್ಬೆಮಡಗಿದ ಧರ್ಮಮಪ್ಪುದು

7 ನಡುಕಲಕೆ ಕೊ 1 ಪಟ್ಟದಭೂಮಿಯ

8 ಮಲೆ | ನಂದಾದೀವಿಗೆ 1 ದ[ವ]ತಿಯ ಗಱ್ದಿ –

9 ಯ ಮಲೆ | ಇನುರ್ವ್ವರುಂ ಗೋಯಿಂನ್ದ . [ತ್ತಿ]

10 ಯರುಂ ಕೂಡಿಮಡಗಿದ ಅಡಕಂ ಇಯ-

11 ಡಕವ ನಱಿದವರು ಅರಸಂಗೆ 51 ಹೋಂ-

12 ನು ಸಾಸನ | ನಾಲ್ಕಜಾತಿಯಿಂ ಹೊಱಗೆ
