TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS TEXT
No. 328 (A. R. No. 75 of 1943-44) RĀMGAḌH, SANDUR TALUK, BELLARY DISTRICT Hero stone set up near the Rāmadēva temple 1323 A.D, It registers the death of Baichaya, the leader of the cavalry, in a fight fought on behalf of his master Kaṁpilarāya, against Ballāḷarāya during the latter’s expedition. It is dated the cyclic year [Dundubhi}, phāḷguṇa śu. 15, Monday. The record is in characters of about the 14th century. Hence the details may probably correspond to 1323 A.D., February 21 TEXT
