(A. R. No. 258 of 1931-32)

KACHCHŪRU (KŌTAKĒRI), UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Broken slab leaning against the south wall near the hōmakunḍa in the Pañchaliṅgēśvara temple

1963 A.D.

This damaged and broken record refers to a gift probably to god Mārkaṇḍēśvara-dēva. The details are all, however, lost. It refers to Mahāpradhāna Maleya-daṇṇāyaka as governing Bārakūru-rājya.

It is dated Śaka 1285, Śōbhakrit, Kārttika śu. 8, Sunday corresponding to 1363 A. D.., October 15, Sunday, f.d.t .15

1 ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾ-

2 ರವೇ | ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯ ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ-

3 ಯ ಸಂಭವೇ [|||] ಶಕವರುಷ 1285 ನೆಯ ಶೋಭಕ್ಯ-

4 ತು ಸಂವಛರದ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ ಶುದ 8[ಆ]ದಿವಾರದಂ-

5 ದು ಶ್ರೀಮನು ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನಂ ಮಲೆಯ ದಂಣಾಯ
