KACHCHŪRU, (KōṬAKĒRI) UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Three broken slabs built into the steps of the tank opposite to the Pañchaliṅgēśvara temple

Circa 14th century

This record seema to register a gift of land to the god Mārkaṇdēśvaradēva in Kōṭeyakēri, probably by Nāgappadaṇṇāyaka and the seṭṭikāṙas. The former appears to have borne the title mahāpradhāna. It refers to Śaṅkaradēva-oḍeya The name of the king and other details are all lost.
