HAMPI, HOSPET TALUK, BELLARY DISTRICT

Pillar in a deserted temple near a tank behind the Prasanna-Āñjanēya
temple

Circa 14th century

        It states that Vīra Kaṁpiladēva, son of Mummaḍi Siṅgeyanāyaka, a devotee of god Saṅgamēśvara had a temple constructed and installed therein liṅgas in memory of his parents Siṅgeya-nāyaka, and Mādānāyakiti, and Perumeyanāyaka.
