KUDI, (No. 34) UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 2) standing in Survey No. 97

1413 A.D.

This is dated Śaka 1335, Nandana, [Phālguṇa] śu. 12, Sunday, corresponding to 1413 A. D., February 12. The Śaka year was current.

It registers a gift of land for offerings to god Śaṅkaranārāyaṇadēva, made after purchase, by Bemmanañcha Toḷaha who was enjoying the kumāravṛiti under his elder brother whose name is not clear.

TEXT

1 ಶ್ರೀ [|*] ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಾಧಿಪತಯೇ ನಮಃ[|*] ನಿರ್ವ್ವಘ್ನಮಸ್ತು

2 ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ-

3 ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ [ಶಂ]ಭವೇ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾ-

4 [ದ್ಭ್ಯು]ದಯದ ಶಕವರುಷ 1335 ನೆಯ[ನಂ]ದನ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಘಾ-

5 [ಲುಣ] ಶು 12 ಅಲು ಶ್ರೀಮತು ಸಕಳ ಗುಣ ಸಂಪಂನರಪ್ಪ

6 . . ೦ಚ ತೊಳಹರ ಕಾಲದಲಿ ಅವರತಂಮ ಬೆಂಮಣಂ ಚ-

7 ರು ಕುಮಾರ ಉ್ರತ್ತಿಯ ನಡವಕಾಲದಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾರಾಯ-

8 ಣ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆಮ್ರುತಪಡಿಗೆ [ಕೊಟ್ಟ] . . ನ ಕಯಿಂದಲು ಹೊ-

9 ಲೆಯನ ಬಳಿಯ ದುಗೈಯನ . . ಲಿ ಕೊಂಡ ಮೂಲದ ಬಾಳಿನ

10 ಚತುಸೀಮೆಯ ವಿವರಮಾಡಲು . ನೆನ ಗಡಿಯಿಂದಂ ಪಡು

11 ವಲು ತೆಂಕಲು ಆಂಣಪಡಿಲನ ಗಡಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಗಲು .

12 ಡಗಲು ಹರನಗಡಿಯಿಂದಂ ತೆಂಕಲು ಪಡುವಲು ಊ-

13 . ರ ಪಡಿಲನ ಗಡಿಯಿಂದಂ ಮೂಡಲು ಯಿಂತೀ ನಾಲು-

14 ಕು ಚತುಸೀಮೆಯ ಯಿಂದೊಳಗಣ ಬಯಲಗದೆ ಒಂದು ಮೆರೆ-

15 ಯ ಗದೆ ಒಂದು ಗದೆ 2 ಕಂ ಬಿತುವ ಬೆದೆಗಣಗಿಲು ನಾ-

16 ಗಂಡುಗಲು ವೆರಡು ಮೂಡೆ ಯಿಪತು ಹಾನೆ ಬಿತುವ

17 ಬಾಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿ . ಹಕಲು ಹಾರು ಹಲಸು ಮಾಆ[ಉ] ತೆಂಗು ನಿಧಿ ನಿ-

18 ಧಿ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪ ಜಲ ಪಾಪಾಣ ಸಹಿತ ಯೀ ಬಾಳನು ದುಗುಣ

19 ಯಿಕೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಕರನಾರಾಯಣ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಮ್ರುತಪಡಿಗೆ ಅ-

20 ಚಂದ್ರಾಕ್ಕ[೯]ವಾಗಿ ಧಾರಾಪೂರ್ವ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಯೆಱುದು ಕೊಟ
