(A. R. No. 502 of 1928-29)

PERDŪR UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the prākāra of Vīrabhadra temple

1456 A.D.

This record is damaged dated Śaka 1379, Dhātu, Tulā 12, Monday corresponding to 1456 A.D., October 11. The Śaka year, however, was current.

It registers a gift of land, by purchase, left in charge of the eleven janani and the Three hundred of the Brahmasabha, by Basvaṇṇarasa alias Baṅga, for burning two perpetual lamps in the temple of Janardanadeva of peraḍūru and for making a lamp-stand in bronze.

1 ಶ್ರೀ ಹರಿ[|*] ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಪತಎಂ ನಮಃ | ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದಚಾ-

2 ಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ | ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ
ಶ್ರೀ –

3 ಮತು ಶಕವರುಷ ಸಾವಿರದಮೂನೂಱಯಪತ್ತ ಒಂಭತ್ತನೆಯ ಧಾತ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ-

4 ದ ತೊಲಾಮಾಸ ಹಂನೆರಡನೆಯ ಸೋಮವಾರದಲು ಶ್ರೀಮತು ಬಸವಂಣರಸರಾ-

5 ದ ಬಂಗರು ಪೆರಡೂರ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆಚಂದ್ರಾರ್ಕ್ಕಸ್ಥಾಯಿಯಾಗಿ

6 ನಂದಾವಳಗೆಗೆ ತಕಂಥಾ ಯೆರಡುಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆವಂಥಾ ಗದೆಯನು ಪೆರಡೂರ ಹ-
