KACHCHŪRU (KŌṬAKĒRI), UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Broken Slab lying near the hōmakuṇḍa in the Pañchaliṅgēśvara temple

Bukka I, [1363-34 A.D.]

This damaged record is dated Śaka 12[85], Parthiva, other details being lost. The date is irregular. The given cyclic year corresponds to 1363-64 A.D.

It registers gifts of money and probably of land also, for worship and offerings in the temple of Mārkaṇḍēśvara by Sāḷa and others. The details of the cannot be made out. It refers to a daṇṇāyaka as governing some division.
