KĀḌŪRU, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up near the house of Śaṅkaranārāyaṇa Pūrāṇika at the hamlet
of Tantrāḍi

Bukka I, 1370 A.D.

This record registers a gift of land to Kṛishṇa-maṇḍacha, son of Kēśava-maṇḍacha for feeding one brahmin daily in memory of Narisimga-biṁnāṇi, by the latter’s mother Dugu-biṁnāṇitti. The gift land was situated in Antrāḍi. It states that Mahāpradhāna Gōparasa- voḍeya was then governing Bārakūru-rājya.

It is dated Śaka 1293, Virōdhikṛit, Āśvayuja ba. 30, solar eclipse corresponding to 1371 A.D., October 9. The weekday was Thursday.

1 ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಾಧಿಪತಯೇಲಿನಮ[B] || ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರ ಚಾಮ

2 ರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯ ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ

3 ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶಕವರುಶ 1297 ನೆಯ ವರ್ತ್ತಮಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿಕ್ರುತು

4 ವತ್ಸರದ ಅಸ್ವಯುಜ ಬ 20 ಸೂರಿಯಗ್ರಹಣದಂದು ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಮನು

5 ಮಂಡಳೇಸ್ವರಂ ಅರಿರಾಯ ವಿಭಾಡ ಭಾಸೆಗೆ ತಪ್ಪುವರಾಯರ ಗಂಡ

6 ಶ್ರೀ ವೀರಬುಕ್ಕಂಣ ವೊಡೆಯರ ವಿಜಯರಾಜ್ಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯದಲು ಆ

7 ಬುಕ್ಕಂಣ ವೊಡೆಯರ ನಿರೂಪದಿಂ ಶ್ರೀಮನುಮಹಾಪ್ರಧಾನಂ ಗೋಪ –

8 ರ್ಸ ಒಡೆಯರು ಬಾರಕೂರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನಾಳುವ ಕಾಲದಲು ಹೂವಚಿಯ

9 ಬಳಿಯ ದುಗುಬಿಂನಾಣಿತ್ತಿ ತಂನಮಗ ನರ[ಸಿ]೦ಗ ಬಿಂನಾಣಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಸ್ತನಾದಲ್ಲಿ

10 ಮಾಡಿದ ಧರ್ಮ ದಿನ 1 ಕಂ ವೊಬ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನುಂಬಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಧರ್ಮ

11 ಡಿ ವೊಳಗೆ [ತೋಟ]ದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮದಾಯದ ಮೂಲದ ಬಾಳು ಅಣೆವಿತ್ತಿಯ ಗದೆ

12 ಗುಳಿಯನಗದೆ 1 ಅನ್ತುಗದೆ 2 ಕಂ ಬಿತ್ತುವ ಬೆದೆಗಣ[ಗಿ*]ಲು ನಾಗಂಡುಗ –

13 ದಲಿ ಮೂಡೆ 10 ಅ ಬಾಳಿನ ಚತುಸೀಮೆ ಹೊಳೆಇಂದಂ ಬಡಗಲು ಅ –

14 ಗಳಿಂದಂ ತೆಂಕಲು ಹೊಸಮಾಟದ ಗದೆ ಇಂ ಪಡುವಲು ಹಾಯ್ಕ –

15 ನ ಬಳಿಯವರ ಬಾಳಗಡಿ ಇಂದಂ ಮೂಡಲು ಇಂತು ಚತುಸೀಮೆ ಯೊ –

16 ಳಗುಳ ಬಾಳು ಅ ಬಾಳಿಂಗೆ ಬಂದ ಕಟುಂದೆಱು ವ ನೂ ನರಸಿಂಗಾಳು

17 ವನ ಅಳಿಯ [ಬೆ]೦ಮಂಣ ಕಂಬಳಿಂಗುಳ ತೆಱನೂ ದುಗು ಬಿಂ -
