PADUVARI, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

temple

Harihara II, 1378 A.D.

This damaged record registers a gift of land to Vaijanāthedēva- ayyaṁgaḷu by eight individuals (praje) including two women, and the nāḍa-sēnabōva, of Bayidūru, when Mahāpradhāna Bharamarasa-oḍeya was governing Bārakūru-rājya.

It is dated Śaka 1402, Kāḷayukta, Pushya śu. 10, Wednesday. The Śaka year is obviously wrong, the cyclic year Kāḷayukta, falling in the reign period of Harihara, corresponding to Śaka 1300 when the other details regularly correspond to 1378 A.D., December 29.
