ŚĪRIYĀRA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Harihara II, 1397 A.D.

This record registers a gift of land free from taxes as also money income to god Nārāyaṇadēva, by Mahāpradhāna Śaṅkaradēva governor of Bārakūru-rājya, for the welfare of the king, who was ruling from Dōrasamudra. The gift land appears to have been purchased by the donor from out of the kāṇike etc., paid by the halaru of hattu-kēri and others.

It is dated Śaka 1319, Dhāṭu, Māgha śu. 12, Wednesday corresponding to 1397 A.D., January 10, Wednesday, f.d.t. .01. The Śaka year was current.
