......1 Read vidvatsu.
......2 In the Nâgamaṅgala grant, line 15, the real reading is âlattûr-pporuḷare ; not alattûp-pauruḷare, as published. The ‘Puruḷare’ of the present grant may be a variant of ‘Puruḷare ;’ or the u may be a mistake for an o, which was intended to be formed like the ô in vidâraṇ-ôpalabdha, line 5.─ The Nâgamaṅgala grant gives ‘Pelnagara,’ instead of the ‘Perṇagara’ of the present text.
......3 The two aksharas in brackets are supplied from the Nâgamaṅgala grant, line 18 ; they are quite illegible in the present grant.
......4 Read âdhigata-vimaḷa.
......5 Read nikara-nirâkaraṇ.
......6 This word s repeated unnecessarily.
......7 The shape of this t is altogether anomalous.
......8 The text is completed from the Nâgamaṅgala grant, line 28-29, according to the real reading of it. mistake for hasana. It is just possible that the syllables kara, at the beginning of line 30, have been misplaced and properly belong here ; that the intended reading there was ºnaḷa-bhûpaś=śivam⺠; and that the word huṁkâra should be found here.
......10 There can be little doubt, if any, that the first syllable of this word was intended to be śi, not śa.
......11 Read nâmadhêyaḥ.
