GANESGAD PLATES OF DHRUVASENA I.

paraphrase the passage by Maitrakâṇâm (i.e. Maitrakêshu) Bhaṭârkô bhavat, or supply the word vaṁśê after Maitrakâṇâm,¹ it is now evident that Bhaṭârka, the ancestor of the Valabhî kings, himself belonged to the family or tribe of the Maitrakas.²
