______________________________________________

[1] Read Agnishṭōm-ādibhirº. The akshara gni looks like tni.
[2] Read bahubhir=bahu-dakshiṇaiḥ.
[3] This foot of the stanza is short by four syllables. Read Hutāśana-purōgamāḥ. The first half of the stanza, as usually found in inscriptions, runs : Ādityō Varuṇō Vishṇur=Brahmā Sōmō Hutaśanaḥ.
[4] This mark of interpunctuation is written by two horizontal strokes as in line 6 above.
[5] These aksharas are incised at the end of line 15.
[6] The intended reading seems to be śūnya-kshētram.
[7] These aksharas are engraved below the concluding portion of line 15.
[8] Read prastara-kshētra-pramukham.
[9] The beginning of the endorsement engraved on the outer side of the first plate is found here in one line. The engraver had begun to incise the endorsement here, but, after finishing about a line, erased the letters. Some of the aksharas can be faintly seen even after the erasure.
[10] The symbol for siddham is very faintly visible.
