[2] Read ºapāyād. The letter da had been at first omitted and was later incised beneath ga.
[3] It is not impossible that the word pautra has been omitted here through oversight either by the scribe or by the engraver.
[4] The name is spelt Vijja in lines 8 and 48, Vīja in line 49 and Vījala in line 7.
[5] Read ºtēna vaṁśō śiśun=āpi tēna parām=unnatim=unnatēna. This is really taken out from a stanza in the description of Śilāhāra Chhittarāja of the Northern Konkan. Cf. Tad-bhrātṛijō Vajjaḍadēva-sūnuḥ śrī-Chhittarājō nṛipatir=babhūva | Śīlāra-vaṁśaḥ śiśun=āpi tēna nītaḥ parām=unnatim=unnatēna (Ind. Ant., Vol. V, p. 277, text lines 14-15 ; Vol. IX, p. 34, text lines 38-39 ; JBBRAS, Vol. XXI, p. 508 ; above, Vol. XXV, p. 58, lines 26-27 ; etc.).
[6] We may add the expression Saṁyāna-maṇḍalam here.
[7] The intended reading may be dramma. It is different to say whether nija. . . . maṇḍalam contains a genuine claim or not. See 1HQ, Vol. XX, p. 78.
[8] Read maha-ṭhakkura.
[9] Read ºppaiy-ādayaḥ. The words sa ēva may be added after this.
[10] Read purōhit-āº. The intended reading may be uparika-purōº.
[11] The words saṁviditaṁ yathā are omitted here through overnight.
