526.─Ś. 1470.─PSOCI. No. 240 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 126, p. 224. Bêlûr Kanarese inscription of the reign of Sadâśivararâya :─

‘ Śâlivâhana-Śaka 1470 (in figures, l. 4), the Kîlaka saṁvatsara ; Monday, the eleventh day of the dark fortnight of Ȃshâḍha.’

The date is irregular.

527.─Ś. 1471.─South-Ind. Inscr. Vol. I. No. 57, p. 84. Viriñchipuram Tamil inscription of Bommu-Nâyaka [of Vêlûr[1] :─

‘ On Thursday, the day of Punarvasu, which corresponds to the seventh lunar day of the former half of the month of Mêsha of the Saumya year, which was current after the Sâlivâha-Śaka year 1471.’

528.─Ś. 1476.─PSOCI. No. 133 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 17, p. 25. Harihar Kanarese inscription of the reign of Virapratâpa Sadâśivarâya, residing at Vidyânagara, recording a grant by Kṛishṇappa-Nâyaka, the son of Bayappa-Nâyaka :─

(L. 3).─Śâlivâhana-Śaka-varsha 147[6]neya Ȃnaṁda-saṁvatsarada Vayaśâkha-[2]ba 14 Sômavâradalu . . . śrî-Narasihva-[3]jayaṁti-[4]puṁṇyakâladalu.

529.─Ś. 1477.─PSOCI. No. 241 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 127, p. 225. Bêlûr Kanarese inscription of the reign of Virapratâpa Sadâśivarâya, residing at Vidyânagara :─

‘ Śâlivâhana-Śaka 1477 (in figures, l. 3), the Râkshasa saṁvatsara ; the fifth day of the bright fortnight of Mâgha.’

530.─Ś. 1478.─Ep. Ind. Vol. IV. p. 12. British Museum (formerly Sir W. Elliot’s) plates[5] of Sadâśivarâya, residing at Vijayanagara (Vidyânagarî) ; recording a grant made at the request of (king Raṅgarâja’s, Śrîraṅgarâya’s, son) Râmarâja,p[6] the ruler of the Karṇâṭa kingdom, who had been requested in this matter by the prince Koṇḍarâja (descended from king Bukka of Ȃravîḍu) ; (composed by Sabhâpati) :─

(L. 115).─ Kramâd=vasu-hay-âbdh-îṁdu-gaṇitê Śaka-vatsarê | Naḷa-saṁvatsarê mâsi Mârgaśîrsha iti śrutê | sûryôparâgê=mâvâsyâ-tithâ(thau) Mârttâṁḍa-vâsarê |

The date is irregular ; see Ind. Ant. Vol. XXIV. p. 17, No. 199.

Genealogy as for as Achyutarâya as in No. 519, except that according to this inscription Obâmbikâ bore to Nṛisiṁha (Narasa) two sons, Raṅga and Achyutarâya. Achyutarâya was succeeded by his son Veṅkaṭarâya, and when the latter died, Râma.[6] the rules of the Karṇâṭa kingdom and ‘ husband of (Sadâśiva’s) sister,’[7] made the minister install Sadâśivarâya, the son of (Achyutarâya’s brother) Raṅga and Timmâmbâ.─ The inscription also gives the genealogy of Koṇḍarâja.

531.─Ś. 1482 (for 1483).─PSOCI. No.134 ; Mysore Inscr. No. 24, p. 41. Harihar Sanskṛit and Kanarese inscription of the reign of Virapratâpa Sadâśivarâya, residing at Vidyânagara :─

(L. 8).─Śâlivâhana.[8]Śaka-varusha 1482 Durmati-saṁvatsarada Mâgha-śu 15 Sômavâra sômôparâga-[4]puṁṇyakâladalû
