Rock behind the Prasanna-Virūpāksha temble in Hēmakūṭa

Harihara II, 1397 A.D.

This records the construction of a lamp pillar (dīpamāleya- kaṁbha) in the temple of Jaḍeya-Śaṅkaradēva by the queen Bukkayave for the merit of her preceptor Bhāskaradēvayya.

It is dated in the cyclic year Īśvara, Mārgaśira Paurṇami, Tuesday. The given cyclic year falls in the reign-period of Harihara II when the details regularly correspond with 1397 A.D., December 4.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತು ಯೀಸ್ವರಸಂವತ್ಯರದ ಮಾರ್ಗ್ಗಸಿರ

2 ಸುಧ ಪಉರ್ನ್ನವಮಿ ಮಂಗಳ ವಾರದಲು ಶ್ರೀ

3 ವೀರ ಹರಿಹರರಾಯನ ಅರ್ದ್ಧಾಂಗ ಲಕ್ಷು –

4 ಮಿ ಬುಕ್ಕಯವೆಗಳು ತಂಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀ ನ[ರು] –

5 ಭಾಸ್ಕರ ದೇವಯ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪುಣ್ಯವಾಗ –

6 ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಜೆಡೆಯ ಶಂಖರದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎ –

7 ತ್ತಿಸಿದ ದೀಪಮಾಲೆಯ ಕಂಭಕೆ ಮಂ –
