BŌḌINĀYANIPALLE, PUNGANUR TALUK, CHITTOOR DISTRICT

Hero-stone (No. 3) set up in a field to the west of the village

Chōḷa-mahārāja, circa 9th century

The record refers to Choḷa-mahārāja as ruling Pulināḍu-60 division and to the great victory of Kalliyaṇṇa, son-in-law of Būdali Ponnaya and son of Pallaya-gāmuṇḍa in a cattle-rais at Maṅgala.
