(A. R. No. 471 of 1928-29)

KUḶĀI, ṀANGALORE TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 3) set up in the prākāra of Durgā-Paramēśvari temple

Dēvarāya I, 1414 A.D.

This registers a gift of land and money for feeding brahmins in the temple of Durgā at Chitrapura when Kēsappa was governing Maṅgalūru-rajya at the instance of mahāpradhāna Bayichaya-daṇṇāyaka. The gift was made over to Varadēndratīrtha-śrīpāda.

It is dated 1336, Jaya, Kārttika śu. 1, Sunday corresponding to 1414 A.D., October 14, Sunday.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶಕವರುಷ 133[6]ನೆಯ ವರ್ತ್ತ

2 ಮಾನ ಜಯ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಕಾರ್ತ್ತಿಕ ಶು 1 [ಆ] ಶ್ರೀ ಮನ್ಮಹಾ –

3 ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜ ರಾಜಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ ಶ್ರೀ ವೀರ ಪ್ರತಾಪ ದೇವರಾ –

4 ಯ ಮಹಾರಾಯರ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ[ದಲಿ] ಶ್ರೀಮನ್ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರ –

5 ಧಾನಂ ಬಯಿಚಯ ದಂಣಾಯಕರ ನಿರೂಪದಿಂ ಕೇಸಪ್ಪ –

6 ಗಳು ಮಂಗಳೂರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನಾಳುವಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಪುರದ

7 ದುರ್ಗಾ ದೇವತೆಯ ಸ್ತಾನದಲಿ ಗಂಗೆ ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರ . .

8 ದೇ ಯಾ[ಡು]ವ ಬ್ರಾಂಹ್ಮರ ಭೋಜನಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಬಿಂ –

9 ದಕಂ ಜನ 12 ಕಂ ಪರಿವಾರದ ಕಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ

10 ಧಂರ್ಮದ ವಿವರ ಚೆಂದಪ [ಸೆಟಿ] . . ಹರ . . ಹರಿ –

11 ಯ ತಳದ ಒಳಗಣ ಹೊಸ ಬೆಟ್ಟಿನಲು ನಡದು ಬಹ

12 ಭತ ಮೂ 3[00] ಕಂ ಕಾಟಿಗ 750 ಱ ಠಾವಿನಮರ [ಗೇಣಿ] –
