29 ದ್ರರಂ ಕವಿಲೆಯರಂ ವೇದಾಢ್ಯರಂ ಕೊಂದುದೊಂದಯಸಂ ಸಾರ್ದ್ದಪುದೆಂದು
ಸಾಱಿದ ಪುದೀ ಶೈಳಾ –

30 ಕ್ಷರಂ ಧಾತ್ರಿಯೊಳು || ನವಿಷಂ ವಿಷಮಿತ್ಯಾಹುರ್ದೇವಸ್ವಂ ವಿಷಮುಚ್ಯತೇ|
ವಿಷಮೇಕಾಕಿನಂ ಹಂತಿ

31 ದೇವಸ್ವಂ ಪುತ್ರಪೌತ್ರಿಕಂ || ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯೋಯಂ ಧರ್ಮಸೇತುನ್ನೃಪಾಣಾಂ
ಕಾಲೇ ಕಾಲೇ ಪಾಲನೀಯೋ ಭ –

KAḌEKĀRU, UDUPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab lying in the compound of the maṭha

Dēvarāya II, 1425 A.D.

This record is dated Śaka 1348, Viśvāvasu, Śrāvaṇa śu. 12, Thursday corresponding to 1425 A.D., July 26, Thursday, f.d.t. .29. The Śaka year was current.

It records gifts of land and 400 honnu by Aṇṇa Niḍuṁbūra and the residents of Kaḍekāru to the maṭha built by them, for the worship and offerings of god Gopīnatha, installed by Vidyātma-tīrtha-śrīpada who appointed his disciple Viśvapati-tīrtha-śrīpada as the head of that maṭha. It states that on the date Narasiṁhadēva-oḍeya was governing Bārākūru-rājya.
