TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

to the temple of Vināyakadēva of Kellaṁgere at Chauḷiyakēri by Mābaḷa-seṭṭi, on the occasion of a lunar ecplise, when Paṇḍaridēva- voḍeya was governing Bārakūru-rājya under the command of the king and Singaṇa-daṇāyaka.

It is dated Śaka 1416 (1417 current), Ānanda, Kārttika śu. 1, Sunday. The details given are irregular, the tithi corresponding to 1494 A.D., October 30 when the weekday was Thursday. In the next year i.e., Śaka 1417, Rākshasa, the tithi fell on Sunday, f.d.t. .25, October 18, 1495 A.D. No lunar eclipse occurred in this year before the month of Kārttika. But there was a solar eclipse in this year Ānanda (1494 A.D.) on Monday, September 15.

2 ಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಸ್ತುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ನಗರಾರಂಭ
...........ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ [||*] ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶ –

7 ಲದಲೂ ಚೌಳಿಯಕೇರಿಯ ಕೆಲ್ಲಂಗೆಱಿಯ ವಿನಾಯಕ ದೇವರ ಸಂನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ

8 ಯ [ಬಱ್ಕಾ]ಱನ ಬಳಿಯ ಮಬಳಸೆಟ್ಟಿಯರೂ ಸೊಮೋಪರಾಗ ಪುಂಣ್ಯಕಾಲದಲಿ

9 ಮಠದ ಛತ್ರದ ಶಿಲಾಶಾಸನದ ಕ್ರಮವೆಂತೆಂದರೆ ಹಂದೆಟೆನವೊಳಗೆ ಬೆಂಗರೆಯ
