HOSĀḶA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Second face of a slab set up in the Jōgi-maṇḍapa of Chauḷikēri

Tammarāya (Immaḍi Narasiṁha), 1494 A.D.

This record registers a gift of lands for worship, offerings, burning a perpetual lamp etc. to the god Bhairavadēva in the maṭha of Anupamanāthavoḍeya, in Kallaṁgere of Chauḷiyakēri, by Tiruma- heggaḍe (?) and others. The gift was made over to Subuddhinātha- voḍeya. It states that Honnakaḷaśarāya was administering Bārakūru- rājya during the period of Gaurappa-daṇṇāyaka.

It is dated Śaka 1415 (current 1416), Pramādīcha, Pusya ba. 14, Monday corresponding to 1494 A.D., January 6. (cf. Further Sources, p. 149 (Appndix).

1 ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಾಧಿಪತಯೇ ನಮಃ ಶ್ರೀ ಸರಸ್ವತ್ಯೇಂ ನಮಃ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುಭ್ಯೋಂ ನಮಃ

2 ಅವಿಘ್ನಮಸ್ತು[||*] ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ [|*] ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ
