TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

The record sttates that at the time of the inscription Dēvarasa- oḍeya, was governing Baidūr and other rājyas from his capital Saṅgitapura and registers a gift of land, after purchase, for worship and offerings in the temple of Gōpīnātha and for the daily feeding of Brāhmaṇas in the maṭha by Saṅkaṇa-sēnabōva, son of Nāraṇa-sēnabōva, temple and the maṭha were both constructed by the donor. The earlier portion in Sanskrit gives the genealogy of the donor whose grandfather was Mahābala and the great-grandfather Maṅkīprabhu. The second date given in the record probably refers to the date of its engraving, Baindūr is also referred to as Bindupura.

2 ಶ್ರೀಮಾನುಜ್ವಲಹೈವದೇಶ ತಿಲಕೋ ಬಾಭಾತಿ ಬಂಕಿಪ್ರಭುರ್ಮಾನ್ಯಃ
............ಕಾಶ್ಯಪಗೋತ್ರಭಾ[ಕ್ಷ್ಭು] ವಿಭವೋ ವಿಪ್ರೋತ್ತೆಮೋ ವಿಶ್ಮ್ರುತಃ || ತದ್ಗೋತ್ರೇಜನಿ
............ಸದ್ಗುಣೋತಿ ಚ –

3 ತುರೋ ದಕ್ಷಃ ಸುಧರ್ಮಾಂಬುಧಿ[B*] | ಸ್ಫೂತಾಂಶೇತಿ ಮಹಾ ಮಹಾಬಲಿ ಇತಿ
............ಕ್ಷೋಣೀ ಸುರಾಗ್ರೇಸರಃ || ನಾರಾಯಣಾಖ್ಯೋಸ್ಯ ಬಭೂವ ಸೂನುಃ ಕುಲಾಬ್ಜ ಭಾ-

4 ನುರ್ಬುಧ ಕಾಮಧೇನುಃ | ಅಮಾತ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯೋನುತ ಸಾಧುಸಖ್ಯಶ್ಚರಿತ್ರ ಶುದ್ಧೋ
............ಜಗತಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಃ || ತತ್ಪುತ್ರಃ ಶ್ಯಂಕರಾಖ್ಯಃ ಶುಭಗುಣ ನಿಲಯೋಧೀತ ಸದ್ವೇ –

5 ದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಃ ಸನ್ಮಂತ್ರೀ ಮಂತ್ರವೇತ್ತಾ ರುಚಿರಮಿಹಮಠಂ ಬಿಂದುಪುರ್ಯ್ಯಂ
............ರಚಯ್ಯ | ಕೃತೋಸ್ಮಿನ್ನನ್ವಹಂ ದ್ವಾದಶ ಧರಣೀ ಸುರೋಭ್ಯನ್ನದಾನಂ ಸ್ವಭಾನೌ
............ಗೋಪಿನಾಥ ಪ್ರ –

6 ತಿಷ್ಟಾಂ ತವಭಟ ಗಣಿತೇ ಶಾಕವರ್ಷೇ ವಿತೇನೇ || ಶ್ರೀ ಮದ್ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜ
............ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ ಶ್ರೀ ವೀರಪ್ರತಾಪ ಕ್ರುಷ್ಣರಾಯರ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ
............ಮನ್ಮಹಾ –

7 ಮಂಡಲೇಶ್ವರ ಸಂಗಿರಾಯವೋಡೆಯರವರ ಕುಮಾರ ದೇವರಸವೊಡೆಯರು
............ಸಂಗೀತಪುರವರ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಸದ್ಧರ್ಮಕಥಾಪ್ರಸಂಗದಿಂಬೈದೂರು

8 ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಮಸ್ತರಾಜವನೂ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾಲಿಸುತಂ ವಿದ್ದಂದಿನ ಶಾಲಿವಾಹನ
............ಶಕವರ್ಷ 1445 ನೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಭಾನು ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಮಾಘ ಶು 5ಲು ಶ್ರೀಮತು
............ನಾರ –

9 ಣ ಸೇನಬೋವರಮಗ ಸಂಕಣ ಸೇನಬೋವರು ಬರಸಿದ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸನದ
............ಭಾಷಾಕ್ರಮವೆಂತೆಂದರೆ ಸಂಕಣ ಸೇನಬೋವರು ಬೈದೂರನಾಡ ನಕರಹ -
