TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

26 ಯರ ನಿರೂಪದಿಂದ ಬೈದೂರ ಹಲರು ಸಮಸ್ತರು ಉಭಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಕಣಸೇನ
ಬೋವರೂ ಬರಸಿದ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸನ ಯಿಂ[ತ್ಸು]

27 ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರಾವನಿ[ಲೋನ*]ಲೌಚ ದ್ಯೌರ್ಭೂಮಿರಾಪೋ
ಹ್ರುದಯಂ ಯಮಶ್ಚ[*|] ಅಹಶ್ಚ ರಾತ್ರಿಶ್ಚ ಉ-

28 ಭೇಚ ಸಂಧ್ಯೇ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಶ್ಚ ಜಾನಾತಿ ನರಸ್ಯ ಉ್ರತ್ತಂ[||*] ಕರ್ತ್ತರವೊಪ್ಪ
ಗೋಪಿನಾಥ ದೇವರು ಸ್ವದತ್ತಾಂ ಪರದತ್ತಾಂ ವಾ ಯೋ ಹರಿಚ

29 ವಸುಂಧರಾಂ[|*] ಷಷ್ಟಿವರ್ಷ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಣಿ ವಿಷ್ಟಾಯಾಂ ಜಾಯತೇ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಃ[||*]
ಯೀ ದೇವಸ್ವಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸ್ವವನು ಆರೊಬರು ಅತಿಕ್ರ-

30 ಮಿಸಿದರೆ ವಾರಣಾಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಮತಾಯೀ ತಂದೆಗಳನೂ ಸಹಸ್ರ ಕಪಿಲೆಗಳನೂ
ಕೊಂದ ಪಾತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಹರು ಯೀ ದೇವ-

31 ಸ್ವಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸ್ವದ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮವನೂ ಅಳಿದನ್ಯಾಯವನಾರೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಬೈದೂರನಾಡು
ನರಕದ ಹಲರು ಸಮಸ್ತರು ಆ ಹಾ-

32 ನೆ ಉ್ರದ್ಧಿಯನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಹರು ಎಂದು ಬರಸಿದ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಶಾಸನ

HEMMĀḌI, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab lying in front of the Lakshmīnārāyaṇadēva temple

Kṛishṇadēvarāya, 1526 A.D.

This is dated Śaka 1448, (1448 current) Vyaya, Chaitra śu. 13, Monday corresponding to 1526 A.D., March 26.

It registers a gift of 60 varāhas per annum to Vyāsatīrtha- śrīpāda-voḍeya, for offerings and a perpetual lamp to (the image of) Rāmachandradēva worshipped by him, for the welfare of the king. The gifts was made by Etirāya-voḍeya who was administering Bārakūru – rājya under the orders of Liṅgaparasa-voḍeya to whom that territory was given by the king.

1 ಶ್ರೀ ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರ ಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ | ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯ
............ನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂ-

2 ಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಾಭ್ಯುದಯ ಶಾಲಿವಾಹನ ಶಕವರುಷ 1448
............ಸಂದು ವೊಂಭತ್ತ-

3 ನೆಯ ವರ್ತ್ತಮಾನ ವ್ಯಯ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಚಯಿತ್ರ ಶು 1[3] ಸೋಮವಾರದಲು
