2 ವತ್ಸರದ ಸಿಂಹಮಾಸ 2[7]

3 ಏಳನೆಯ ಗುರುವಾರ ದಂದು

4 ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಗಲೂರ ಹಿರಿಯರಮ-

5 ನೆಯಲು ಬಂಕಿದೇವರಸರು ಸಮಸ್ತ

6 ಪ್ರಧಾನರುಂ ಕುಂದೆಯಧಿಕಾರಿ

7 . ಪಾಕರಸ . . ಸಂತನುಂ ಮು

8 ೦ತಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಕೊಡಿಯ . . .

SUJĒRU, MANGALORE TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Stone set up in a field

Baṅkidēva, 1305 A.D.

This record registers a royal gift of land to god Timirēśvara, on the occasion when rains set in as a result of prayer during the period of famine. It states that the king was giving audience in the hall (mokaśāle) called Bhuvanāśraya of his palace (hiriya-aramane) at rājadhāni Maṅgalāpura.

The inscription is dated Śaka 1228, Viśvavasu, Siṁha 18, Sunday corresponding to 1305 A.D., August 15. The Śaka year was current.
