45 ನಂಜಯ ನಪ್ಪು[ದ*]ಱಿಂ ಭಯರಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿ ವೇಳುವಕಾರಣದಿಂ ತನ್ನಾಳ್ವದೇಶದೊಳೆ
ಮುನ್ನಂ ವರಾಂಗನೆಂ-

46 ಬ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷಂ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಮಂ ಮಾಡಿ ನಾಡೇಳ್ನಳಿಯಂ ಕರೆದು
ಕೈವೆಡೆಗೊಟ್ಟದನಂತಪ್ಪ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಮಂ ಸುಧರ್ಮ್ಮದಿಂ

47 ಕುಂಡಣೋರ್ವ್ವೀಶ್ವರಂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಕಟೀಭೂತಂ ಮಾಡಿದನಾ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮದ ಸೀಮಾ
ಸಮ್ಮ(೦ಬ)೦ಧವಾವುದೆಂದ-

48 ಡೆ ಮೂಡಲು [ಬ]ಡನಿಕೊ . . . ತೆಂಕಲು ನಿಡುಗುಂಡಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಪಳ್ಳವಾ ಪಳ್ಳವೆ
ಮೇರೆ ಪಡುವಲುಂ ಬಡ-

50 ರಕ್ಷೀಸುವರೀ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಗಪಾಯವಂ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿದಂಗೆ ಪಂಚಮಹಾಪಾತಕಂ
ಗಂಗಾತೀರದಲು ಸಹಸ್ರ

51 ಕಪಿಲೆಯಂ ಸಹಸ್ರ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣರಂ ಕೊಂದನಿತು ಪಾಪಂ ಪೊರ್ದ್ದುಗುಂ || ಸ್ವದತ್ತಾಂ
ಪರದತ್ತಾಂ ವಾ ಯೋ ಹ-

52 ರೇತು ವಸುಂಧರಾಂ [|*] ಷಷ್ಟಿರ್ವ್ವರ್ಷ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಣಿ ವಿಷ್ಟಾಯಾಂ ಜಾಯತೇ
ಕ್ರಿಮಿಃ || ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯೋ

53 ಪಾಲನೀಯೋಭವದ್ಭಿಃ ಸರ್ವಾನೇತಾನ್ಬಾಗಿನಃ ಪಾರ್ತ್ಥಿವೇಂದ್ರಾ ನ್ಭೂಯೋ ಭೂ-

54 ಯೋ ಯಾಚತೇ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಃ || ಬಹುಭಿವ್ವಸುಧಾ ದತ್ತಾ ರಾಜಭಿಸ್ಸಗರಾದಿಭಿಃ

55 ಯಸ್ಯ ಯಸ್ಯ ಯದಾಭೂಮಿ ಸ್ತಸ್ಯತಸ್ಯ ತದಾಫಲಂ

KŌṬE, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the prākāra of the Mahāliṅgēśvara temple.

[Kulaśēkarāḷva]

This record, which is in Kannaḍa language engraved in Malayālam characters, states that the king granted the taxes realised in Śivasahabra[h]maṇavūra (Śivasa-Brahmavūra?) to (the temple of) the god at Kōṭa for the maintanance of a hand-lamp (kai-veḷaku). Adambhaṭṭ- uḍeyarasa also appears to have participated in making the grant.

The only details of the date given is that Jupiter was in Kumbha. The record is engraved in characters of about the 14th century.
