TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

6 ಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದೆತ್ತಿಬರಲು ಪೊತ್ತಪಿದೇಶಾಧೀಶ್ವರರಪ್ಪ ಮಲ್ಲಿದೇವ

7 ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವರಸರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿವೆರಸಿದಿರಾಂತು

8 ನಿಂದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮನ್ಮಹಾಪ್ರಧಾನಂ ಸಂಧಿವಿಗ್ರಹಿ ರೇವಣ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆಯುಂ

9 ತಂಮ ಪೋತಣ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆಯು ಭಯಬಲವಱಿಯೆ ಶೌರ್ಯ್ಯ

10 ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞ ರೂಢರಾಗಿ 1081 ನೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾದಿ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಮಾ-

11 ಘ ಸು 15 ಯರ್ದ್ಧೋದಯದಂದು ಡೊಂಗಲಸಾನಿಯ[ಮೂ]

12 ಡಣ ಹುಣಿಸೆಯ ಬನದ ಯೆರಡು ತೊಱೆಯ ಸಂಗಮ . . .

13 ಸಂಗ್ರಾಮ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವೀರಭಟರುವೆರಸಿ ಯುದ್ಧವಾಗಲು

14 ಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೀರಾವತಾರನು ಸಂಧಿವಿಗ್ರಹಿ ರೇವಣ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಕು-

15 ದುರೆಯ ನೇಱಿ ಹರಿಸಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿದೇವನ ನೋಡಿಸಿ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವನೂ-

16 ಳಗಾಗಿ ಹಂನಿಬ್ಬರರಸುಗಳಂ ಸಾಯಿರಾಳಂ ಕೊಂದು ಪುಲಬ-

17 ರಂ ವಿರಥಂಮಾಡಿ ತಾವಲ್ಲಿ ವೀರಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯಂ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು [ವೈಕು]೦ಠ ಪ್ರಾ-

18 ಪ್ತರಾದರು ಪೋತಣಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಹಲವೆಱು ವೆರಸಿಬಂದು ವಿರಶ್ರೀ-

19 ಯಂ ನಲ್ಲಚಿದ್ದರಸಂಗಿತ್ತು ಬಳಿಕ ತಂಮಣ್ನಗಂ ತಮಗಂ

20 ವಪ್ಪಂತಾಗಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನತ್ರಿಪುರಾಂತಕ ಸಿದ್ಧವಟ ಅಣಂಪು-

21 ರ ಮಹೇಸ್ವರ ವೆಂಬ ಮಹಾಸ್ಥಾನಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಖಂಡ

22 ದೀಪ ಮೇಲು ಪಟ್ಟಂಗಳಂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು ಆ ರೇವಣ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ-

23 ಗಂ ದಾರಮಾಂಬಿಕೆಗಂ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮವಪ್ಪಂತಾಗಿಯ ವರಸು .

24 ಪುತ್ರ ಸಂಧಿವಿಗ್ರಹಿ ಕಾವಣಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಪಡೆನಾಡ ವಾಯಿ[ಲೂ]-

25 ಱಲು ಶ್ರೀವಿಷ್ಣುಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟೆಯಂ ಮಾಡಿ ಹತ್ತು ವ್ರಿತ್ತಿಯಂ

26 ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು ಆ ಚಂದ್ರಾರ್ಕ್ಕಸ್ತಾಯಿ ಯಾ

27 ಗಲು ಮಂಗಳ ಮಹಾ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ¹

1     At the top of the slab depicted two warriors on caparisoned horses with
       their names within below the figures, the one on the left as
       sandhivigrahi Rēvaṇa heggaḍe and the other on the sight, sandhivigrahi
       Potana heggaḍe.

       The inscription is followed by its version in Telugu characters and this in
       turn by its own copy in Nagari characters which again is followed by its
       Tamil version written in Tamil characters.
