KORAGA, KARKAL TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in a rice field near the village

Vīra Bhairava 1408 A.D and Pāṇḍya Bhūpala,

The record registers a gift of land in the village, Marṇe for the worship and offering to god Pārśvanātha and for feeding the ṛishis, by the chief Vīra-Bhairava and his son Pāṇḍya-bhūpāla who were ruling from Keravase. The basti was got constructed by the chief in Chōḷiya- kēri at rājadhāni Bārakūru. The gift was made at the instance of Vasantakīrtirāüḷa.

It is dated Śaka 1331, Sarvadhāri, Pushya śu. 10, Thursday. The tithi corresponds to 1408 A.D., December 27, Thursday, f.d.t. .22

1 ಶ್ರೀಮತ್ಪರಮ ಗಂಭೀರ ಸ್ಯಾದ್ವಾದಾಮೋಘ ಲಾಂಛನಂ[|*] ಜೀಯಾತ್ರೈಲೋ-

2 ಕ್ಯನಾಥಸ್ಯ ಶಾಸನಂ ಜಿನಶಾಸನಂ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ ಸಮಸ್ತಭುವನಾಶ್ರಯ ಪ್ರುಥ್ವೀವಲ್ಲಭ
