1 ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಶ್ಚುಂಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯ ನಗ –

2 ರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲಸ್ತಂಭಾಯ ಶಂಭವೇ || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ –

3 ಪ್ರಶಕ್ತಿ ಸಹಿತಂ ಶ್ರೀಮನ್ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನಂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೇ –

4 ನಾಧಿಪತಿ ಅನೇಕದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ ಸಕಳ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪತಿ ಬಹತ್ತ –

5 ರ ನಿಯೋಗಾಧಿಪತಿ ಗಿರದುರ್ಗ್ಗಮಲ್ಲ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮರಾಯ –

6 ಭೋಜದೇವದಿಸಾಪಟ್ಟ ಶ್ರೀಮತು ಪ್ರತಾಪ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತ್ತಿ

7 ಸಿಂಗಣದೇವ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭುಜಾದಂಡ ನಾಯಕ ನಾರಾಯ –

8 ಣ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀದೇವ ದಂಡನಾಯಕರು ಶ್ರೀಪರ್ವ್ವತದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದ್ವಾರ –

9 ಪ್ರದೇ[ಶ*]ದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಗಿರಿಪಾದಪರ್ವ್ವತವಪ್ಪ ಶ್ರೀ ಪುೞ್ಪಗಿರಿಯ

10 ಪಞ್ಚನದೀ ಸಂಗಮ[ದ]¹ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮತಟ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ವೈ –

11 ದ್ಯನಾಥ ದೇವರ್ಗ್ಗೆ ಅಂಗಭೋಗರಂಗ ಭೋಗಾರ್ತ್ಥಂಗಳಾಗಿ . .

12 . . . [ಳೂ]ರಂ ದೇವರ್ಗ್ಗೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆವಾರಿ ಸತ್ರವನಡಸುವನ್ತಾಗಿ

HAMPI, HOSPET TALUK, BELLARY DISTRICT

Slab set up near the northern gateway leading to the Tuṅgabhadrā
river in the Pampāpati temple³

Sōmēśvara, 1236 A.D.

This damaged and worn out record, both in Sanskrit and Kannaḍa, registers a royal gift of money-income to the temple of Virūpākshadēva for worship and feeding the brāhmaṇas in the sattra attached thereto.

It is dated Śaka 1159. Durmukhi, Pushya ba. 11, Thursday, Uttarāyaṇa-saṁkrānti corresponding to 1236 A.D., December 25.
