NĪLĀVARA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 4) set up in the prākāra of Mahishāsuramardini temple

Vīra-Ballāḷa III, 1334 A.D.

This badly damaged record refers to Chikkāyi-Tāyi, the chief queen of Hoyisaṇa Vīra Ballāḷadēva and to Vayijappa-daṇṇāyaka. It is dated Śaka 1257, Bhāva, Dhanus [28], Vaḍḍavāra corresponding to 1334 A.D., December 24. All other details are lost.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತು ಶಕವರುಷ 1257 ನೆ –

2 ಯ ಭಾವಸಂವ[ತ್ಸರ] ಧನುರ್ಮಾಸ [28]
