VAḌḌARSE, UDIPI TALIK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab standing in the field opposite the house of Aṇṇappa seṭṭi

[Ballāḷa III]

This badly damaged record refers to the reign of a Hoysaḷa king and to Mahāpradhāna Vaijapa-daṇṇāyaka and registers a gift of land to a deity at Vaḍḍarasi. Vaijanātha is referred to as the person that wrote the record.

16 ಸ್ವದತ್ತಂ ಪರದತ್ತಂ ವಾ ಯೋ ಹರೇತಿ ವಸುಂಧರಾ [|*] ಸಷ್ಟಿ –

17 ರ್ವ್ವರುಶ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಣಿ ವಿಠಾ(ಷ್ಟಾ)ಯಾಂ ಜಾಯತೇ ಕ್ರಿಮಿ ||
