HOSĀḶA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Broken slab lying in the site of the sits of the ruined Jaina basti in
front of the Sōmēśvara temple at Maṇigāra-kēri

Bukka I, 1358-59 A.D.

This fragmentary record refers to Mahāpradhāna Baicheya and to the Bārakūru-rājya which was being governed by a daṇṇāyaka whose name, however, is lost.

The extant portion of the record gives the date as Śaka 1279, Viḷa. . , pāḍya, Wednesday, the other details being lost. The cyclic year Viḷaṁbi coincided with Śaka 1280 corresponding to 1358-59 A.D.
